Senior Traveling Trainer: Outreach & Communications Specialist
In this role, I was responsible for implementing Leave No Trace's education and communications plan by translating research from the fields of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources and Recreation Ecology to actionable preservation of public lands. I led outreach and engagement programs that met the needs of diverse groups across the United States, conducting 400 public events and teaching over 10,000 participants, including over 1,000 K-12 students and 300 government employees. My relationship building skills had tangible results, I notably attracted over 70 new corporate sponsors and welcomed over 600 new members and partners to the organization. This work allowed me the opportunity to travel to more than 26 national parks and camp more than 400 nights on public lands across the United States.
